Managing Positions

Once you've added liquidity, Demeter tracks the position so you can monitor and exit it from the Positions menu.

Viewing positions

Each position shows:

  • The pair and pool.
  • Whether it is in range (earning) or out of range (paused).
  • Current value and fees earned.
  • PNL and history, where available.

Claiming fees

Concentrated‑liquidity fees accrue to your position separately from the principal. Use Claim Fees to collect earned fees into your wallet without closing the position.

Removing liquidity

Remove exits the position:

  1. Your liquidity is withdrawn from the pool.
  2. Fees owed are collected.
  3. Optionally, the withdrawn tokens are swapped back to a single token and unwrapped to the native token, so you end up with a clean balance.

Demeter reports each step. If a step fails, the position is not silently discarded — your funds stay recoverable on‑chain.

Why a position might look "empty"

A position whose liquidity has been fully withdrawn can still hold uncollected fees or owed tokens on‑chain. Demeter accounts for these when it lists and closes positions, so value isn't lost just because the liquidity reads as zero.

If something goes wrong

Blockchain transactions can fail for reasons outside the bot's control (network congestion, slippage, insufficient gas). When that happens:

  • Demeter tells you the step that failed.
  • Your principal and fees remain on‑chain and recoverable — nothing is burned by a failed removal.
  • You can retry the action.

If a balance ever looks missing after a failed action, don't panic: the funds are almost always still in the position on‑chain, waiting to be collected. See Security and reach out through the project's support channel.
